Youngstown Police Blotter for July 24

The following activity was reported from the Village of Youngstown Police Department, from Monday, May 25 through Saturday, July 10. YPD answered 195 calls over this period.

Monday, May 25

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Youngstown Lockport Road. An 18-year-old female was pulled over for speeding. Driver was ticketed for driving 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. A report has been filed.

Tuesday, May 26

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Main Street. A 32-year-old male was charged for speeding and driving a suspended vehicle. A report has been filed.

Wednesday, May 27

  • Patrol responded to a juvenile throwing rocks on Church and Third streets. The juvenile was asked to remove all rocks from the roadway.
  • A resident on the 500 block of Applewood Drive reported she keeps finding raw chicken in her backyard for her dog. Patrol responded and found no suspects.
  • A resident of the 3300 block of Creek Road reported a larceny. A weed trimmer was stolen out of his vehicle. Patrol cleared.

Saturday, May 29

  • Patrol responded to a noise complaint and open bottle drinking on Main and Lockport streets. The complainant reported drinking every night. No violation was found at the time.
  • Patrol responded to an intoxicated man who fell down the stairs; location not listed. The man struck his head. He was left in the care of the Youngstown and Lewiston fire company EMS personnel.

Sunday, May 30

  • A resident on the 500 block of Water Street reported her ex-husband to be intoxicated and yelling profanity at her and her children. Patrol responded and the intoxicated man yelled at them and refused to quiet down. He appeared in Porter Town Court and was charged with disorderly conduct.
  • A resident of the 300 block of Lockport Street complained a neighbor's dog barks at all hours of the day and night. A report has been filed.

Monday, May 31

  • A resident of the 600 block of Old Lake Road was driving recklessly. Patrol responded as the suspect pulled into the garage. The suspect did not answer the door. The Niagara County Sheriffs Department issued a uniform traffic ticket.
  • A return call was issued to a resident in the 300 block of Lockport Road. The resident's dog was disturbing neighbors. Patrol advised the man to keep his dog quiet and neighbors were bringing up paperwork.

Tuesday, June 1

  • A 58-year-old resident of Church Street was issued a violation of a court order to stay away. Patrol said the man was gone upon their arrival.
  • Obstruction of governmental justice response. Patrol responded to a domestic dispute between husband and wife on the 800 block of Youngstown Lockport Road. The NCSD was advised to handle the report.

Wednesday, June 2

  • Patrol responded to a hang-up 911 call from the 3400 block of Creek Road. The trailer residence was okay and had phone problems. Patrol cleared.

Friday, June 4

  • A 22-year-old female resident of the 300 block of Oak Street reported a domestic dispute. Patrol responded and arrested a 29-year-old male. He was charged with third-degree assault. An order of protection was later issued against the suspect.
  • A resident of the 300 block of Brookshire Road reported a possible criminal misconduct and juvenile problem. The complainant stated juveniles kicked and opened the garage door. The suspects were gone on arrival.

Sunday, June 6

  • Patrol responded to a 33-year-old female resident on the 300 block of Main Street. She stated between 11 p.m. and early in the morning tree branches fell on her van. The front window of the van was damaged.
  • A resident of the 1200 block of Cain Road complained of a youth throwing things around the home. Patrol responded and the 16-year-old fled the scene. The youth was later found by the NCSD. Numerous charges are pending.

Monday, June 7

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Lower River Road. A 38-year-old man was charged for operating a vehicle without insurance. A report was filed.
  • Patrol responded to a domestic dispute on the 200 block of Maple Street. The area was cleared.

Tuesday, June 8

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Church Street. An 18-year-old male was issued a uniform traffic ticket for speeding. The male was going 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Wednesday, June 9

  • Vehicle/traffic stop issued on Lockport Road. The driver was warned about the use of a cell phone.

Friday, June 11

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Lower River Road. A 26-year-old male was issued a uniform traffic ticket. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance.
  • Patrol responded to reports of rowdy behavior. A business worker on the 400 block of Main Street was confronted with customers were drinking, yelling, and urinating in front of the business at closing. The worker stated it would be further addressed to management and security.
  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Main Street. A 60-year-old female was issued a uniform traffic ticket. She was driving with a suspended registration.
  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Lockport Road. An 18-year-old male was issued a uniform traffic ticket for speeding. He was driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Saturday, June 12

  • Patrol responded to a mini bike making a commotion up and down a roadway on East Oak Terrace. Party was advised to take the bike to the woods.
  • A resident of the 300 block of Brookshire Road reported a prowler. Patrol checked the area with negative results on the search.

Sunday, June 13

  • Patrol responded to a loud party on the 800 block of Lake Road. Patrol advised the residents to keep quiet.

Monday, June 14

  • Patrol attempted to locate a vehicle involved in an accident in Amherst. Patrol responded to the 700 block of Blairville Road. There were negative results.

Tuesday, June 15

  • Patrol responded to a domestic incident at Artpark. A resident of the 900 block of Meadow Drive was questioned in the dispute. All was cleared.

Wednesday, June 16

  • A resident of Chestnut Street reported a juvenile who was walking back towards a local park. The issue was resolved by patrol.

Thursday, June 17

  • Patrol responded to a reckless driver. The driver may have been driving while intoxicated on the intersection of Creek Road and Lewiston roads.

Saturday, June 19

  • Patrol responded to juveniles smoking in a teepee tent on Dansworth Drive. Parents were contacted to release the juveniles.
  • A resident complained of a loud party on Creek and Balmer roads. Patrol found negative results upon arrival.

Sunday, June 20

  • Patrol responded to a complaint of reckless driving on Ransomville Road. The complainant stated two vehicles, a green and yellow T-top were racing. Negative results were found.
  • A resident reported her house was egged. The resident was advised to keep an eye out.
  • A resident of the 1000 block of Lake Road reported a domestic dispute. The suspect was gone upon arrival. The domestic incident was verbal only. Patrol cleared.
  • Patrol responded to a complaint on the 300 block of Lockport Road. The complainant stated his neighbor's dog barks for hours at a time. Patrol interviewed the dog owner, who stated the dog only goes outside for bodily functions for 5 to 10 minutes. The dog owner suggested it was a neighbor issue, not a dog issue, and requested information on the noise ordinance.
  • Patrol responded to a loud group drinking in front of a local business on the intersection of Main and Lockport streets. The group was loading instruments into a car and dispersed without incident.
  • Patrol responded to a suspicious vehicle leaving a local business on the intersection of Main and Lockport streets. The drivers were said to have been under the influence. The group dispersed and alternative riders were found.

Wednesday, June 23

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on the intersection of Lockport and Second streets. A 30-year-old male driver was issued a uniform traffic ticket. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

Saturday, June 26

  • Patrol responded to a resident of the 3700 block of Lower River Road. An elderly man appeared choking, but was OK upon arrival.
  • A possible domestic incident was reported on the 300 block of Elm Street. A man and woman were verbally arguing over a messy home.

Tuesday, June 29

  • Patrol reissued a uniform traffic ticket for a local resident. The individual was charged with speeding and brought to Porter Town Court.
  • A resident on the 700 block of Lake Road reported a victim falling off of a go-cart and hitting a mail post. The victim was taken via Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.

Saturday, July 3

  • A domestic dispute occurred on Balmer Road at a nearby pond between a female and male. The female was charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday, July 4

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Jackson Street. A 23-year-old male was issued a uniform traffic ticket for speeding. He was going 46 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Thursday, July 8

  • Patrol responded to a 23-year-old resident of the 1100 block of Balmer Road. Patrol was advised to check the welfare of the male. He was not at the residence.
  • Patrol responded to criminal mischief on the southbound underpass of the Robert Moses Parkway. Graffiti was found at the incident.
  • A domestic dispute occurred on the 900 block of Balmer Road between a female and male. Patrol cleared.

Saturday, July 10

  • Vehicle/traffic stop on Church Street. A 47-year-old female was issued a uniform traffic ticket for being an unlicensed operator.
