St. Peter's School, Sanborn, held its end of the year concert and picnic on June 13. Making this year special was a dedication to William Bullwinkle, pictured, who is retiring after 34 years as teacher and principal.

Moving from New York City in 1976, he and his wife, Elynore, have raised three boys, Jonathan, David and Christopher. "Mr. B" (as everyone refers to him) has always been hard working and dedicated to St. Peter's, members of his retirement committee say, but more importantly a devout worker for Jesus Christ, always feeling this school was his mission and where he was meant to be.

He has helped keep the school going strong academically and spiritually, according to parents of his students. Mr. B was heard to say many times that reading, writing and math are all important, but at the end the most important thing in your life is your relationship with God.

This year's program was closed with a presentation of special cards and well wishes along with a song from the children dedicated to Mr. B and a video put together in his honor.

A retirement party is being planned for July 25.
