On Friday June 11, the Lewiston-Porter High School senior class celebrated with Class Day. The event saw students decorating their vehicles and parading them, with a Lewiston Police escort, in front of the Lewiston-Porter Creek Road campus, and eventually down to Fort Niagara State Park for lunch. The Lewiston Police Department hosted the picnic for the senior class. More than half of LPD officers and staff were on hand to set up, cook, entertain and clean up for the senior class. The senior class picnic is an annual event put on by the police department. "This event allows the kids to get to know some of the Lewiston Police Department in a casual setting," said LPD Chief Chris Salada. "The weather was perfect, the food was good and everyone had a great day."
