The Village of Youngstown announces its 2010 Free Summer Concert series, to be offered on selected Friday evenings at Falkner Park from 7 to 9 p.m., opens June 18 with the "nostalgic big band" sounds of Alex Renee's Big Swing Band.
Continuing to Aug 27, other concerts include: June 25, the Bar Room Buzzards (New Orleans jazz); July 2, the Mackenzie Highlanders (Celtic bagpipes); July 16, Brothers of Invention (soft jazz and swing); Aug. 6, Then and Now (classic rock); Aug. 13, Custode & Parisi (traditional jazz); Aug. 20, Northend - (acoustic/light rock); and, Aug. 27, the Jerry Andres band (music for all ages).
All concerts will be held rain or shine and are open to the public.
