UB to host 'The Ethics of Storytelling': Film Screening, Author Talk & Panel Discussion'

Join the University at Buffalo journalism certificate program as it explores the ethical considerations of narrative-driven professionals with “The Ethics of Storytelling”: Film Screening, Author Talk & Panel Discussion.

Brian O’Hare will start the event with a screening of his recent production, “Rizoo,” a film by Azadeh Navai. Following the screening, O’Hare will discuss his work as a producer, director and author, and read from his Veteran’s Writing Award book of short stories, “Surrender.”

The event will continue with a panel of professionals discussing the ethics and efficacy of storytelling. Included will be Niagara Frontier Publications GM/Managing Editor Joshua Maloni; Deb Sur, a journalist for the Buffalo News; and Melanie Green, UB professor of communications.

Light refreshments will be served.

Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Alumni Arena 97 on the University at Buffalo North Campus. The presentations are free, but registration is required.
