NFPD finds deceased female on Easter Sunday

UPDATE: The victim of the March 31 homicide has been identified as 32-year-old Tania Wilson from Niagara Falls.

At approximately 1:54 p.m. Sunday, March 31, the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to a report of a possible domestic violence disturbance at a location in the 2400 block of Orleans Avenue. Upon arrival, patrol officers located an unresponsive female on the floor, who was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.

A short time later, detectives located and charged a 32-year-old male from Buffalo with second degree murder. This individual was also charged with criminal contempt, in the second degree, from a previous incident. He was arraigned in City of Niagara Falls Criminal Court Monday and was remanded to the Niagara County Jail.
