Catholic Health hosts livestream panel discussion for Women's History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, Catholic Health is hosting a livestream panel discussion from Seneca One Tower titled, “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Healthcare” from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 15.

Moderated by Claudine Ewing, anchor/reporter at WGRZ-TV, the program will feature Dr. LaVonne Ansari, CEO and executive director of the Community Health Center of Buffalo; Joyce Markiewicz, president and CEO of Catholic Health; and Dr. Nancy Nielsen, senior associate dean for health policy, Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.

A press release stated, “Join the panel for a discussion on the achievements of women in health care, the work that lies ahead to ensure equal access to care, and career development opportunities in the health professions. Topics of discussion also include addressing the social determinants of health, creating inclusive career development initiatives, and empowering women to lead.”

The livestream, sponsored by Catholic Health’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, is open to the public and available at Facebook.com/CatholicHealth.
