At approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday night, Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of 19th Street, when they heard shots being fired as they were investigating an unrelated call a few blocks away. Officers arrived within seconds of the shots being fired to find a 31-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The male was immediately placed into a private vehicle by bystanders and driven to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The victim was eventually transferred to ECMC where he is currently listed in critical condition.
