American Legion Band of the Tonawandas to appear at Cardinal O'Hara High School PAC

The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas’ “Spring Pops Concert” will take place at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the Cardinal O’Hara High School Performing Arts Center, 39 O’Hara Road, Tonawanda. Tickets are $15 at the door, or $13 in advance these sites:

A press release stated, “Hear the 80-member American Legion National Championship band perform a symphonic pops program in the spectacular style and tradition of John Philip Sousa. On the program are famous marches ‘Florentiner March’ by Julius Fucik, ‘Italian Rhapsody’ by Julie Giroux, ‘Jack Tar March’ and ‘Fairest of the Fair’ by John Philip Sousa, ‘Music Man’ by Meredith Willson, ‘The Yellow Rose of Texas’ (arrangement: Lewis J. Buckley), ‘Irish Songs II’ (arrangement: Stephen Bulla), ‘Night and Day’ by Cole Porter, ‘Roman Carnival’ by Hector Berlioz, ‘Mambo Jambo’ by Perez Prado, ‘Ye Banks and Braes O' Bonnie Doon’ by Percy Grainger, familiar show tunes and rousing military band spectaculars!”
