Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 51-year-old Peter P. Christopher of Buffalo was sentenced this morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Shannon M. Heneghan to one year in jail.
Between May 1 and 19, 2023, the defendant stole 91 city parking meters from various locations in downtown Buffalo.
Christopher pleaded guilty to one count of attempted grand larceny in the fourth degree (class “A” misdemeanor) on Dec. 14.
Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Department for its work in these investigations.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik of the special investigations and prosecutions (SIP) bureau.
