At 1:15 p.m., officers were called about a sheep in a field in the 600 block of Seventh Street. Officers arrived, but did not see the sheep, only heard it. The sheep was eventually found in a resident’s backyard. After attempting to capture the animal, the sheep was eventually contained by the NFPD animal control officer.
It is unclear where the sheep came from, but it was taken to the Lakeview Animal Sanctuary. Investigation into the ownership of the sheep is currently ongoing.
