M&T Bank Press Release

Buffalo Bills star and all-pro receiver Stefon Diggs and M&T Bank teamed up to organize a special holiday surprise and celebration delivering joy to local children and helping make this season a little easier for their parents.

About 250 guests gathered Wednesday evening at the Northland Workforce Training Center. Stefon and M&T gave each family gift cards to help parents with their holiday expenses and new toys for the kids donated by Mattel.

This holiday community celebration was a culmination of M&T Bank’s collaborative partnership with Diggs – which they first launched together in 2022 to make a difference in the community and create authentic connections with fans. Jointly, they have led community events and developed social media programs to grow M&T’s “Football Brings Us Together” campaign, celebrating Buffalo’s diversity and the shared passions that unite Bills fans.

The families invited to attend were selected by several nonprofit organizations and community partners serving the east side of Buffalo or supporting single-parent households – two communities Diggs is passionate about uplifting.

As a child raised in a single-parent household after the passing of his father, Diggs saw how hard his mom worked to provide for her family and make the holidays special for her kids. His personal experience has driven how deeply he cares about the needs of single parents and their children.

Recognizing that this time of year can be difficult for many families, especially single parents, Diggs was eager to use his partnership with M&T Bank to help deserving members of the Buffalo community. After a similar event they hosted last year was a huge success, M&T and Diggs brought it back in a reinvented format to help even more families and create extraordinary holiday memories for local children.

The Northland Workforce Training Center was decorated to celebrate the holidays.
