Families are invited to celebrate Halloween up north in Youngstown on Saturday with a number of spooky and fun activities hosted the Recreation Department.
The day opens with 11:30 a.m. registration at the Red Brick Village Center for the annual kids parade in the Main-Lockport street business district. Look for goodies by local businesses and prizes awarded to the little ones, including for Best Costume, Best Halloween Royalty, Best Family Costume and Best Trunk Decoration.
Also taking place will be a trunk or treat in the Red Brick parking lot on Lockport and Third streets. Participants are invited to “decorate your trunk and hand out goodies for the kids.” Those interested in joining in the fun are asked to preregister their vehicle and arrive for setup by 11 a.m., with handout-outs beginning at 11:30 a.m.
