New event to celebrate HAL anniversary

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Historical Association of Lewiston. To commemorate this milestone, events are taking place “in celebration of Lewiston’s rich history.”

At 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, the Lewiston Museum, Lewiston Service Guild and First Presbyterian Church will sponsor a historic Victorian tea at the church, 505 Cayuga St. This event will include lunch, pastries and, of course, tea – along with a basket raffle.

Organizers said, “Baskets will be on display prior to the event. Your generosity to these organizations is greatly appreciated and will help continue each in their efforts to support our Lewiston community.

“Thank you in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at our first Victorian tea.”

Individual tickets are available for $40 per person, or a table of eight is $300. To purchase tickets, call the Lewiston Museum at 716-754-4214.
