Memorial Mass for music-makers

A Memorial Mass in celebration of all deceased members from choirs associated with more than 50 years of music ministry in Western New York will be held at noon Sept. 10 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 237 Fourth St., Niagara Falls.

Organizers said, “This Mass will include the faithful singers associated with Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, St. Teresa’s (now St. Rafael’s), Divine Mercy, Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Clarence, as well as St. Mary’s. The choir of St. Mary’s will be joined by interested former members and will also commemorate all people who serve the Lord through song.”

Deceased members include: Geraldine Brodowski, Margie Dee Carden, Jim Conrad, Al Cote , Mary Ann Cote, Rose Marie Cubello, Anna D’Onofrio, Ted Fita, Barbara Gleason, Erik Hanson, Ann Kelly, Katherine Killian, Loretta King, Gloria Knair, Frank La Forte, Laureen Lipiec, Mike Matyas, David Metzger, Pat Perry, Victoria Polly, Robert Potratz, Alice Roscypala, Barbara Rossman, Irene Seyfried, Bill Shewin, Frank Trippi, Josephine Tulimeri, Ann Watson, Molly Woods … “and for all people who serve The Lord through song.”
