Veterans Park and the Miracle League baseball diamond are in line for significant upgrades worth $1.1 million.
The Town Board on Monday OK’d authorization to sign an intermunicipal agreement between Erie County and the Town of Grand Island for improvements at Veterans Park and the Miracle League.
According to the agreement, “The scope of the services for the funds to be provided by Erie County includes the installation of accessible ball fields, playground and related site improvements at the Town of Grand Island Veterans Park on Bedell Road.”
The agreement also says that improvements will include an accessible, surfaced ball field and containment netting, site fencing, playground improvements, scoreboard installation, a new splash pad and any other related improvements to the property.
