Niagara Falls shooting victim dies

The female victim from the shooting that occurred on Monday, June 26, at 4:30 p.m. on 19th Street in Niagara Falls has died as a result of her injuries. The victim is identified as 18-year-old McKenzie Munt of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.

Munt suffered a gunshot wound to her head, which resulted in the vehicle she was operating to collide with another vehicle near the corner of 19th Street and Falls. The operator of the other vehicle was not involved in the shooting and was treated and released for minor injuries from the collision.

Niagara Falls Police Department detectives continue to investigate the case and are asking for the public’s assistance in getting justice for McKenzie.
