Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 43-year-old Mark Trykowski of Kenmore was sentenced on Friday morning before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to 18 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision.

As part of the sentence, Judge Boller issued a final order of protection on behalf of the victim, which remains in effect until March 2069.

District Attorney Flynn commends Det. Jennifer Vaccaro of the Buffalo Police Department, Erie County Central Police Services laboratory and the sexual assault nurse examiners at ECMC for their work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Andres D. Ortiz of the special victims/domestic violence bureau.
