The Uncrowned Queens Institute will debut a new exhibit at The Buffalo History Museum on Feb. 17.

A press release explained, " ‘Say Their Names: Honor Their Legacies’ shares the stories, wisdom and insights of Buffalo’s community elders. The exhibit will feature portraits, biographies and video interviews that capture the stories of a group of Buffalo’s senior community builders. Buffalo's Uncrowned Queens Institute works to preserve the histories of African American women and men across the country.”

Join Uncrowned Queens Institute founders Dr. Barbara A. Seals Nevergold and Dr. Peggy Brooks-Bertram for a free, opening night program and reception at the museum on “M&T Bank Third Friday,” Feb. 17, at 6 p.m., to learn more about the initiative. The new exhibit will remain at the museum through the spring.

The Buffalo History Museum is located at One Museum Court. For more information, call the venue at 716-873-9644, or visit online at www.buffalohistory.org.
