The Buffalo History Museum will welcome guests for back-to-back free days this holiday weekend, with “Train Day” on Friday and the “Holiday Maker's Market” on Friday and Saturday.

“Train Day” (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) features the museum’s historic HO scale model-train unit brought to life, scavenger hunts, live music by the Rail Barons Band, and train-themed crafts for the kids. The train display features 200 feet of track that winds through scale models of 19th century Western New York landmarks, including an Erie Canal lock, The Eagle House, and Williams Water Mill.

The Holiday Makers Market (4 to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday) features more than 30 local vendors and artisans selling their products across the museum's three floors. Featured vendors include authors, painters, wood carvers, herbalists, jelly makers, knitters and jewelers.

The Buffalo History Museum is located at One Museum Court, Buffalo.
