Congressman Brian Higgins is teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York to host an informational luncheon in recognition of National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month & Family Caregivers Month.

His team said, “Caring for a loved one with memory loss can be exceptionally demanding. The event will provide caregivers with information on tools and resources available to support families dealing with all forms of dementia.”

The event will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the City of Tonawanda Senior Center, 35 Main St., Tonawanda. To register, visit tinyurl.com/caregiverton or call 1-800-272-3900.

In addition to an informational session led by the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York and an update on congressional action by Higgins, organizations including the Center for Elder Law and Justice and NY Connects will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information about the community resources available for those dealing with memory loss and family caregivers.
