Independent Health Foundation seeking videos to be shared, awarded as part of First Night festivities

A new, fun feature of the Independent Health Foundation’s First Night Buffalo 2023 will highlight the talent of Western New York kids. Children 17 years old and younger are invited to submit a video clip of their best touchdown celebrations or traditional talents to the Independent Health Foundation to be shared and awarded as part of First Night Buffalo 2023.

Through Sunday, Nov. 20, individual or groups of kids can submit their videos at www.firstnightbuffalo.org/talent with a parent or guardian signed permission (see all rules and requirements online).

“We know kids throughout Western New York have many special talents to share and have had many chances to celebrate touchdowns so far this season,” said Carrie Meyer, executive director, Independent Health Foundation. “Now we want to give them the opportunity to show them off as part of the festivities planned for First Night Buffalo 2023!”

Videos approved by the First Night Buffalo committee will be posted to be viewed as part of the free lineup of performances and activities for First Night Buffalo on Dec. 31 online at www.firstnightbuffalo.org.

Plus, the top contenders will be eligible to win cash prizes, BumpBoxx Bluetooth speakers and more. All prize details are listed online.

Videos of touchdown celebrations are recommended to be approximately 15 seconds. Talent demonstrations are recommended to be 60-90 seconds and may include singing, dancing, magic, comedy, juggling, instrumental music or other entertaining talent.

All videos submitted must be accompanied by a submission form available online that includes verification of a parent or guardian’s permission. Absolutely no profanity or insensitive subject matter will be permitted. All submissions will be screened for appropriateness by the First Night Buffalo committee, whose decisions are considered final. Complete rules and requirements to submit a video are available online at www.firstnightbuffalo.org/talent.
