The Niagara County Board of Elections announced the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 8 general election is Oct. 14. The Board of Elections will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and until 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, for the purpose of registering individuals.
Voter registration forms are available on the Board of Elections website, elections.niagara.ny.us; at all post offices; most banks; public libraries; municipal halls; and at the board offices at 111 Main St., Suite 100, Lockport.
Anyone who has moved since last voting must reregister to be eligible. Those who will be out of the county on Election Day may apply for an absentee ballot by calling 716-438-4042 or 716-438-4049.
