Eight Days of Hope (EDOH) is ready to deploy its rapid response equipment and team to the location of impact following Hurricane Ian.

Hurricane Ian is a growing storm in the Atlantic Ocean and is predicted to become a category 3 hurricane. Ian’s path currently looks to affect the western coast of Florida. On Sept. 24, Florida government leaders issued a state of emergency, urging residents to prepare for the hurricane. Rainfall has begun in Southern Florida and will continue through the week. The hurricane could hit land over the next two to three days.

EDOH is able to provide heavy equipment for removing large debris, a laundry trailer, a shower trailer, a feeding trailer, and hundreds of volunteers to serve those in need. At this time, EDOH is on standby until the hurricane makes landfall. The details of their deployment will be released later this week.

EDOH founder Steve Tybor said, “Eight Days of Hope is here to love and serve the communities that need help after a natural disaster. Our team is ready to help in any way that we can following Hurricane Ian. We are praying for every person who is facing the unknown of the storm and how they should prepare.”
