Commercial structure fire at Shawnee Golf Course

At 5:23 a.m., the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received numerous 911 calls reporting a commercial structure fire at the Shawnee Golf Course in the Town of Wheatfield. Responding deputies found the structure to be fully involved on the north end, which was determined to be a maintenance garage for the business.

No injuries were reported. Wendelville Volunteer Fire Co. and Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co. responded and extinguished the fire.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit.
