By Rob Reisman

I would like to introduce myself. I am Rob Reisman, a 23-year resident of Youngstown and running for mayor. Now that my boys are young men, I have the time to serve the community that has been such a big part of my life.

Two years ago, I was elected as a village trustee. Since then, I have participated in New York state-sponsored workshops with the purpose of maintaining a local village government and finding the most effective means of providing essential services to the village in a fiscally responsible manner.

I desire to see change that will strengthen our community. Change that brings back that small-town feel, providing necessities right here in the village: groceries, banking, community picnics, and recreational activities such as walking paths, dog parks and Frisbee golf.

I aspire to build relationships through visibility in the community, having hours at the Village Center where residents and business owners can easily approach me, bring their concerns, or just strike up a conversation.

My experience as an operations manager for a global environmental company, coaching youth sports, and volunteering at Lew-Port schools, the rec program and in my church have developed my organizational management skills to lead and handle multiple situations and see them to resolution.

As mayor, I will continue to serve my community, leading by example, expecting accountability and professionalism from village leaders. My vision is to keep Youngstown viable for the next generation.
