Motorcyclist killed in Niagara Falls Boulevard crash

Per the Office of Mayor Robert Restaino:

On April 30 at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Niagara Falls Police Department Crash Management Unit responded to the intersection of 71st Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard to investigate a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle.

20-year-old Westley Quintern, a resident of Tonawanda, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the left driving lane. He was allegedly struck by a Niagara Falls woman who was westbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard and making a left turn onto 71st Street. Quintern was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on May 1.

The driver of the striking vehicle was uninjured. Her vehicle, a 2011 Ford Taurus, was towed from the scene for inspection. The crash management team is continuing its investigation.
