Thu, Apr 14th 2022 08:25 pm

The Grand Island Lions Club will host its 53rd annual spaghetti dinner from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1841 Whitehaven Road.

The GI Lions report that, in order to keep its servers and customers safe during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the dinner will be a drive-thru-only event. All dinners must be prepaid and will be delivered to one’s vehicle. Dinners are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 7 and under. All dinners include spaghetti and meatballs, a dinner salad and bread.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on the Lions Facebook page at facebook.com/groups/GILIONSCLUB. Tickets can also be purchased from any GI Lion member or ordered from Lion Dick Crawford at 716-818-6992.

Orders can be placed for either adult or children’s portions. Customers are asked to select a time for pickup.

In addition, the Lions will have raffle tickets on sale for a lottery tree, gift card tree, wine and spirit basket (ages 21 and older only) and 50/50s, which can also be ordered online.

Over past decades, this event has helped fund numerous projects and services benefitting the citizens of the Grand Island community. The Lions wish to thank the community for its welcomed and continued support for the projects that have benefitted so many. These include the Miracle League Baseball/Beep Ball Field and associated playground, the Special Kids Picnic, the children’s playroom/client living room at the new Family Justice Center satellite, the new Sidway playground, the Lions scholarship program, plus more than 50 other organizations that have provided for the needs of so many families, neighbors and friends.
