The Niagara County Department of Health is working closely with the three local hospitals, its mental health and substance abuse department, and community partners – forming the Niagara County Community Health Workgroup – to “identify priority areas to build a plan to improve the health of our communities.” The workgroup is conducting a collaborative community health assessment to understand the health needs and concerns of the local communities.

“We aim to discover the best ways to serve our citizens and improve the health of Niagara County residents,” Public Health Director Daniel Stapleton explained.

As part of the community health assessment, the Niagara County Community Health Workgroup is asking Niagara County residents to take a few minutes to complete the confidential community health survey, which is available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Niagara2022. The web link is also available on the NCDOH website at: www.niagaracounty.com/health.

“We want feedback from the people who live here, so that our priorities are aligned with what's important to you,” Stapleton said. “We want to know what matters to our communities, and we urge all Niagara County residents to complete the health survey.”
