Niagara University College of Nursing presents discussion on UN sustainable development goals

Niagara University’s College of Nursing will present a discussion focusing on the United Nations’ sustainable development goals and their implications on the nursing profession. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in the Salvatore Dining Commons on the NU campus. “Embracing UN Sustainable Development Goals to Advocate for Population Health – A Call to Action,” features global advocate, educator and health care consultant Dr. Pennie Branden, liaison to the United Nations for Sigma, followed by a panel that will provide examples of advocating for equity and preserving and sharing resources with respect for all persons.

The event is sponsored by NU’s Gamma Theta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the Professional Nurses Association of WNY, and the NU College of Nursing. It is supported by an Advancing Excellence in Nursing Education alumni grant. There is no fee for attending, but donations to this fund will be accepted.
