Niagara Area Foundation announces council members, 2022 officers

The Niagara Area Foundation announced its new council members and the officers elected for the 2022 term.

“The Niagara Area Foundation Council believes in the future of Niagara County and, together with our community partners, it is dedicated to strengthening the Niagara Region by addressing critical needs to improve lives,” said Molly Anderson, Niagara Area Foundation chair. “This group of dedicated volunteer leaders is committed to improving the lives of the residents of Niagara County.

“Niagara Area Foundation has a 20-year track record in our community, and we are looking strategically at how to make the most impact with our resources.”

New 2022 Niagara Area Foundation Council members include: 

√ Julie R. Berrigan, M.S., of Lewiston 

√ Marianne E. Koenig, Lockport 

√ Patricia Wrobel, North Tonawanda 

√ Richard Zucco, Niagara Falls

Officers of the board of directors for 2022 are:

√ Molly Anderson, chair

√ Jennifer Pauly, vice chair

√ Margaret Nucci, secretary

√ Jane Killewald, treasurer

In 2021, the Niagara Area Foundation awarded more than $58,000 in grants to support programs that have maximum positive impact on Niagara County in the areas of health, human services, arts, civic needs, community development, education and the environment, with an emphasis on positive youth development. To date, the Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, has awarded more than $4.5 million in grants to numerous organizations that are located in – and support – the Niagara Region. 

Founded in 2000 as a division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, the Niagara Area Foundation’s goal is to provide support for nonprofit organizations, and philanthropic initiatives for Niagara County residents.
