YMCA Buffalo Niagara to distribute food for Buffalo residents as part of holiday giveaway

YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s “Y on the Fly” program will be distributing fresh produce for families of program participants as part of its holiday giveaway this weekend in the City of Buffalo.

The holiday giveaway with take place from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday on the second-floor gymnasium at the Resource Council of WNY, located at 347 E. Ferry St.

YMCA Buffalo Niagara will give away 10 bags of fresh produce for families. The bags will include ingredients needed to make homemade vegetable soup. Additionally, children participating in the giveaway can create craft ornaments and take part in the holiday relay race.

“Y on the Fly” is a mobile YMCA that visits neighborhoods and offers free programs aimed to help youth of all ages stay active and engaged in mind, body and spirit. “Y on the Fly” provides healthy meals to children and families, educational enrichment, physical activities and games.
