Shooting at Niagara Metal

At 8:16 a.m. today, the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to a man shot at Niagara Metal, located at 4861 Packard Drive. When officers arrived, they found a Niagara County man deceased from a gunshot wound. 

The suspect had fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE:

The Niagara Falls Police Department is looking for 35-year-old Matthew H. Figura Jr., who is a person of interest in what was described as a shooting death.

Figura was last seen driving a black Nissan Frontier pickup truck with Virginia Plate ULV3324. He has connections throughout New York, including Niagara Falls, Ransomville, Cambria, Lewiston and Lockport. Figura may be headed toward the Southern Tier area or Pennsylvania.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, immediately contact the Niagara Falls Police Department at 716-286-4711 or 716-286-4553.

Figura is innocent until or unless found guilty in a court of law.

SECOND UPDATE:

The suspect has been found. The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office has taken the suspect into custody.
