Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday announced vaccine appointments scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, at the state-run site in Buffalo will be postponed due to winter weather affecting the area. The appointments will be rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 7, and Monday, Feb. 8. The site is located at the SUNY at Buffalo South Campus – Harriman Hall, 3435 Main St., Buffalo.

All other state-run vaccination sites remain open as scheduled.

New Yorkers with appointments scheduled for Saturday at the site will receive an email or text message rescheduling their vaccination.

"A winter storm that's projected to affect parts of Western New York tomorrow could lead to high snowfall and slippery roads, and we're postponing appointments at the Buffalo state-run vaccination site in the interest of residents' safety," Cuomo said. "I want to be clear: No one will lose their spot and all appointments will be rescheduled for Sunday or Monday when the weather is expected to subside."

As part of the rescheduling process and to the extent possible, timing of new appointments will scheduled in alignment with the original appointment's time. If that new appointment time does not work for an individual given the change in day, they will be provided with a contact number to identify a different time that may work better for the individual.
