Online presales available until Feb. 24; walk-up sales are March 1-7

Staff and volunteers from Niagara Hospice are gearing up for the 2021 spring bouquet sale that runs March 1-7. This annual fundraiser, supported by many community partners, raises awareness for Niagara Hospice’s mission of providing expert care and support to families facing a terminal illness while spreading beautiful spring blooms throughout Niagara County.

The bouquets are $10 each and proceeds go toward supporting patients and families.

With social distancing measures in place, Niagara Hospice is providing alternative ways to buy bouquets to keep everyone safe.

Walk-up sales are available at a variety of community organizations and businesses from March 1-7. Orders via mail-in form are available until Feb. 19, while orders at NiagaraHospice.org are open until Feb. 24. For advance orders, Niagara Hospice is offering curbside pickup March 3-6 at the Niagara Hospice administration building at 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport. This year, home delivery is available for Niagara County residents for a $5 fee.

“We will have several community walk-up locations during the week of March 1-7 where people can purchase their bouquets, and we added extra ways to purchase bouquets this year based on each supporter’s level of comfort,” Niagara Hospice Special Event Coordinator Allison Bolt said.

Niagara Hospice is also offering the community a virtual option to support the sale. Individuals can make a contribution with a personal dedication and photo in an online bouquet at VisuFund.com/SpringBouquet. For more information or to purchase bouquets, contact Bolt at 716-280-0766.

Since 1988, Niagara Hospice has provided expert end-of-life care and caregiver relief to more than 28,000 Niagara County families facing a terminal illness. Doctors, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, counselors, aides and volunteers collaborate to bring comfort, dignity and support that enhances quality of life for families during challenging times. Services are available in family homes, nursing homes, hospitals, David’s Path at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, Jeanne’s House at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Niagara Hospice is the only Western New York hospice accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. No one is denied care due to inability to pay, as Niagara Hospice raises funds to offset costs for individuals who are underinsured or uninsured. Anyone can make a referral or support the organization at NiagaraHospice.org or by calling 716-439-4417 or 716-HOSPICE.
