From Mayor Robert Restaino’s office:
Just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, there was a shooting at 19th Street and Welch Avenue. The victim, an 18-year-old Niagara Falls man, was shot several times while sitting in the passenger side of a parked car. The suspect fled on foot.
The victim was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center emergency room where he eventually died of his injuries.
The Niagara Falls Police Department is continuing its investigation.
