This year’s effort to collect book bag supplies for schoolchildren in need for the Ladies of Charity was an outstanding success, said Barbara LaDuca of Grand Island, who has been a longtime organizer of the project.
“We collected 33 boxes of supplies and over 60 book bags making this a record year. We thank you for your support of this project. Given all that is happening it is wonderful that people have been so generous.” Pictured above as cars were being loaded with school supplies to take to the Ladies of Charity are Diane Lee, Charlene Clarke, Les Lee and LaDuca.
