The University at Buffalo School of Nursing has selected Jennifer Earsing, ANP-BC, to receive its 2020 Distinguished Preceptor Award. The award recognizes an outstanding clinical preceptor for the School of Nursing.

A board-certified adult nurse practitioner at Niagara Falls Memorial’s Lewiston Primary Care Center, Earsing is a UB School of Nursing alumna who graduated from the adult nurse practitioner master’s degree program in 2011. For the past three years, she has been a preceptor for the school’s adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) program and its family nurse practitioner (FNP) program, sharing her expertise with those students and mentoring them in their expanded roles.

Nominators for the award noted Earsing has been a positive role model for students, dedicated to helping them improve their skills and enthusiastic in her praise of their accomplishments.

Committed to her own professional development, Earsing is currently enrolled in the UB School of Nursing’s doctorate program for nurse practitioners.
