While coordinating lessons for her online business classes, Grand Island High School teacher and DECA adviser Cheryl Chamberlain reached out to Fahim Mojawalla of Island Ship Center to help her explain company culture.

"This week, we are discussing the importance of team work and who better to explain it than Fahim," Chamberlain exclaimed.

Chamberlain said the opportunity for other guest speakers each week to discuss business is exciting. Her next guest will be Vice President of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce Ryan McCarthy, who will discuss online retail tactics.

"Normally, we would bring business leaders into our classroom to speak to students about current best practice, and we still are .. .just in an online format," Chamberlain said.

She explained that, while this is a new way of teaching and learning for everyone, having business professionals assisting instruction is the perfect way to make lessons authentic for the students.
