Mr. and Mrs. Earl Grimes, residents of Grand Island since 1969, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 8.
Janet (Gabel) and Earl Grimes were married in Perrysburg, New York, in 1954. They have five children: Ron and Kathy Grimes of Atlanta Georgia; Alan and Beth Grimes of Huntington Beach, California; Gail Dorsey of Grand Island; Leslie Martin of Niagara Falls, Tina Grimes and Stacy Kenworthy of Atlanta Georgia. They have six grandchildren: Melissa and David Martin, Zachary, Jason, Claire and Max Grimes; and two great-grandchildren: Emma Martin and Oliver Grimes.
Earl Grimes retired from Keller Technologies in 1999 and Janet retired from Jenss Department Store. The family celebrates Janet and Earl’s union every day.
