Niagara County Legislator Rich Andres attended the Polish-American Reception at the White House last week in which President of Poland Andrzej Duda joined President Donald Trump in honoring Americans with Polish heritage.
The reception, hosted by the president and first lady Melania Trump, welcomed prominent Polish-Americans from across the U.S., as well as several business leaders.
Among the leaders in attendance included executives from Lockheed Martin, who inked a deal that day with Poland to sell 35 F-35 fighter jets.
Andres expressed feelings of pride in representing the area’s Polish-American community.
“I was proud to represent the Polish-American community of Western New York at the White House Polish-American Reception,” he said. “This event highlighted the continued close ties between Poland and the United States both economically, culturally and militarily.”
