On Feb. 8, St. Peter’s School hosted its annual “Valentines for Veterans” event. Students shared their thanks and support of veterans by creating valentine cards both for guests and those at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. In addition, veterans and active service members who are parishioners and/or family members of the student body were invited to join in for a special Mass.

The Niagara Falls Air Station Honor Guard posted colors and performed a flag-folding ceremony at the Mass. The national anthem was performed by Elizabeth Wagner, a seventh-grade student.

A reception followed in the school cafeteria.

Left: St. Peter’s kindergarten student Lily Hall was joined by her father, Brandon Hall (Army), and her great-grandfather, Robert F. LaDuca (Air Force). Right: Assemblyman Angelo Morinello (Army) is shown with his granddaughter, preschooler Giuliana Genovese.
