A free wellness seminar for breast cancer survivors will be presented at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. The seminar, titled “Yoga, Mindfulness, and Survivorship,” will feature guest speaker Mindy Scime, Ph.D., director of Tree of Life Yoga Studios. Scime is a licensed psychologist and an avid proponent of self-care who has designed her presentation to benefit breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as their caregivers.
The program is part of a series of wellness seminars developed and presented by the Breast Cancer Network of WNY (BCN), an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and education of local individuals who have been impacted by breast cancer. This seminar, supported by grant funding received through the New York State Department of Health, marks the first time BCN has offered outreach in Niagara County.
The seminar will take place in the auditorium adjacent to the NFMMC main entrance. Free parking is available in the parking ramp. Light refreshments will be provided. Seminar registration is available online at www.bcnwny.org or by calling BCN at 716-706-0060.
