Kearns to help a veterans outreach with a 'Thank-A-Vet' discount program signups in Kenmore

'Thank-A-Vet' outreaches encourage Erie County veterans to sign up to receive discounts from more than 1,400 businesses
Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns is inviting Erie County veterans to his next "Thank-A-Vet" discount program outreach. The outreach will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at American Legion Brounshidle Post 205, 3354 Delaware, Kenmore.
To sign up, a veteran must bring the original copy of their military discharge papers to put on file with the clerk's office. Discharge papers will be immediately returned to the veteran. Erie County veterans are welcome to come learn more about this program and the businesses that offer discounts with a complementary photo ID "Thank-A-Vet" card. Staff from the clerk's office will be on hand to process veterans' information. Cards will be mailed to outreach attendees.
The clerk's office provides "Thank A Vet" registration services from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the clerk's office, 92 Franklin St., Buffalo. For more information, call 716-858-4739.
