Applebee's of Batavia volunteers at Mercy Flight Airport
On Friday, Sept. 28, team members from the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar of Batavia took part in National Good Neighbor Day by volunteering at the Mercy Flight Batavia Airport, the not-for-profit provider of emergency and non-emergency air and ground medical transport and supporting services. The Applebee's staff preformed land maintenance for the airport to provide a well-kept, safe place for the EMS services to perform their duties.
Throughout the month of September, Applebee's employees throughout New York participated in various supply drives and volunteer opportunities to help make a positive impact in the communities that they serve and to honor the holiday. Established in 1978, "National Good Neighbor Day" recognizes the importance of good neighbors and serves as a day of gratitude and community building.
T.L. Cannon, who owns and operates the Applebee's of Batavia, considers its commitment to the community and neighborhoods a foundation of its business - offering a variety of fundraising and incentive programs for schools, youth sports teams, firefighters and other nonprofit organizations. This includes company-wide fundraisers for both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics of New York State.
