Upgrades made at Golden Age Center

Jennifer Menter, recreation supervisor at the Golden Age Center, reports that this spring and early this summer, the GAC had some "major updates and improvements to our building and grounds, to further protect, improve, and update this second home for many senior citizens in our community."
Menter listed several upgrades, such as:
•A newly expanded awning was installed earlier this month on the building's east side.
•An expanded GAC Garden came together on the east side of the building, complete with herbs and vegetables for the members to pick.
•A fresh coat of paint on the south and east walls covered up graffiti from vandals.
•Gardens on the west side of the building was beautified with pebbles in the garden bed surrounding the trees and shrubs.
•A new Golden Age Center Memorial Wall has been installed on the west wall, displaying plaques of past presidents of the Golden Age Club. Stepping stones lead up to a new Memorial Garden.
