Beaver Island State Park announced members of the WNY Disc Golf Club will offer a clinic for beginner and recreational disc golfers looking to improve their game. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 30, at the park. The clinic will cover such things as proper ways to drive and putt, as well as disc selection and course etiquette.
Disc golf is a growing sport and is similar to golf except, rather than clubs, players throw specially designed discs to drive from a tee. They finish each hole by landing their disc in what's called a disc golf basket.
The clinic will be held by the first tee, which is next to the park office. It is free and open to the public.
