Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center recently donated two intensive care hospital beds to the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity motherhouse at Stella Niagara in Lewiston. Fifty-two sisters, half of whom receive skilled nursing and assisted living care, live at Stella Niagara.
Nurse Administrator Ellen Sponholz, MSN, ANP-BC, said the beds are a welcome addition that will enable the nurses to provide superior care to the most vulnerable and immobile sisters in residence.
On hand for the installation of the beds were Sister Edith Wyss, OSF, provincial minister of the Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara, left, and Memorial Medical Center Vice President for Foundation and Community Relations Judi Nolan Powell.
