'Rock Out Cancer' benefit to help those with disease

Lower Niagara Community Survivors announces "Rock Out Cancer," its first fundraising event, will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at The Lewiston Stone House, 755 Center St. Open to the public, the all-day event will feature food by The Lewiston Stone House, Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen and the Brickyard Brewing Co.; live entertainment by Jamie Holka, Vinyl Addiction, Busted in Eden and WTF; a cash bar, basket raffles and more.
Tickets are priced at $25. To purchase one, visit The Lewiston Stone House, online at www.CommunitySurvivors.org, or call 716-283-5537. Tickets are also available from committee members.
All proceeds go to benefit cancer survivors in the River Region. The group will offer services such as lawn-mowing, shoveling or grocery shopping assistance to those battling the disease.
