Mayor Arthur G. Pappas will announce the 2018 Thunder on the Niagara boat-racing event during a press conference that will take place at Gratwick Riverside Park at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 9.
Representatives from the Niagara Frontier Boat Racing Association and several other high-level North Tonawanda officials will join Pappas in announcing this free, family fun event that is taking place at what is regarded as one of the most beautiful venues along the Niagara River. This event has been referred to as "the fastest show on water" and hydroplane race boats will be on display at the media event, as well.
